1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using TeamUs ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TeamUs is a web-based application that allows users to create groups, rate players, and generate balanced sports teams. The Service is provided free of charge and is intended for recreational use.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.
• One person may hold multiple accounts, but may not use them to manipulate group ratings.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Harass, abuse, or harm other users in any way.
• Submit false, misleading, or offensive content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or group data.
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

5. Groups and Ratings

• Group owners and admins have the right to remove members at their discretion.
• Player ratings submitted by users are anonymous to other members unless disclosed.
• TeamUs does not validate the accuracy or fairness of any ratings submitted.
• Team splits generated by the Service are suggestions only and carry no binding authority.

6. Privacy and Data

• We collect your email address and display name solely to operate the Service.
• Your data is stored securely via Google Firebase and is not sold to third parties.
• Group data (members, ratings, teams) is accessible to all members of that group depending on each user's role.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

7. Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, your use is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within TeamUs is the property of its creators. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimers

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.
• We are not liable for any disputes arising between group members.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
